The Awesome Room 1 2011

We have an awesome class this year! We have 27 Year 5 & 6 children who love learning. We are passionate about having fun, challenging ourselves and doing our best. We feel it is important to respect and care for each other. Our topic this term is Getting on Together! We will be learning about how people get on together in our school and in the world. We will find out how to solve problems.

Black Hole

Black holes are made when an old star dies because of a big explosion inside the star called a super nova. When you fall into a black hole you get spaghettified that means you get pulled until you snap. At the centre of our galaxy the milky way there is a massive black hole several million times the mass of our sun. A black hole is an area with gravity so strong that not even light can escape from it. For a black to happen a star has to be 10 to 15 x bigger than our sun. By Hamish ,Leroy ,Zacka ,Cioran and Owain.
